Firebirds Vs Titans
September 9th from 12:00 noon
Ann Morrison Park Cricket Ground
Trophy presentations to follow match
A new title sponsor, a load of new players, and even a new team. Season 2017 has already been a record year for our T20 League, and we hope to round it off with a record-breaking crowd this Saturday.
The Allergy Group T20 League wraps up on Saturday September 9th, in what promises to be an epic battle between two groups of mythical creatures – the all-conquering Firebirds, and the brand spanking new Titans.
Please join Boise Cricket Club for this free public event at the Ann Morrison Park Cricket Ground, located between the water fountain and the clock tower (search Google Maps for ‘Ann Morrison Park Cricket Ground’).
Food and soft drinks will be provided for players, BCC members, and their families. Other spectators should bring a picnic lunch. BYO snacks, alcohol (cans, paper, or plastic; no glass), camp chair / picnic rug, hat, lots of water, and lots of sunscreen. Also bring your family, friends, colleagues, neighbors – anyone who enjoys a nice day out in the park.
New to cricket? Club members, officials, and other spectators will be happy to explain the game as the action unfolds, so please don’t be afraid to ask questions.
Schedule. T20 cricket is played over a total of two innings. A coin toss decides which team bats first and which team fields first. Team A bats the first innings and sets a score. Team B bats the second innings and tries to beat that score. The match is scheduled to commence at 12:00, and expected to end between 4:00 – 4:30. There will be a half hour lunch break between the two innings, and an award ceremony at the conclusion of the match. We adhere to schedule as best we can, given the nature of live sport and Boise weather.
Can’t make it to the game? Nothing beats watching a live cricket final in person, but if you really cannot make it to the ground, you can still follow all the action, including live video, at Facebook.com/CricketBoise.
Big thanks to all of our sponsors, members, and supporters. Special thanks to 2017 title sponsor The Allergy Group, and to Boise Parks & Recreation.
